Ford’s full-size-van family has entered the modern age, adopting the global van platform for the new Transit. The Transit is available in three body lengths, two wheelbases, and three roof heights. Amenities include 270-degree rear-door openings and LED interior lighting. Engine choices include a 3.7-liter V-6, a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, and a new 3.2-liter turbodiesel inline-five, each mated to a six-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.
The Transit Van carries big loads as well with payloads up to 4,560 lbs. (2109 kg). The Transit can be upfitted with cargo management systems including shelving, partitions, and trade packages. You can carry ladder racks and other items on the roof with its capacity of up to 420 lbs. (19kg).
The Fully Versatile 2015 Transit Connect
The 2015 Transit Connect is equipped to help you get the job done. It features a standard 169-horsepower 2.5L Duratec® I-4 engine and an available 1.6L EcoBoost® I-4 engine with best-in-class 178-horsepower. Both powerplants are mated to a Six-Speed SelectShift® Automatic Transmission. To help provide efficient performance, electric power-assisted steering and low-rolling-resistance tires are standard.
